I've been seriously thinking of one of these metal buildings rather than a traditional style pole building.

How do you like yours?

I love mine and I have had both, block and metal. All boils down to having a place to work and easy to heat and cool.

Didn't quite get done today.  Back in the morning. Looking good I think.

Looks good! Just curious, no mesh or rebar in the pad, MPI? Do you live in a frost free area to be able to do that? It's really coming together though!

Yes, rebar in the footings.......12" deep x 12" wide.  Pad is 4 to 4 1/2" thick.......I think it was 3500# rating.  ....The frost here is usually  non existent except for killing flowers and tree blooms when its late.

Ok, the guys came back today to finish the trim, a window and hang the doors.  And more rain, got to do something about splash now as the left side is already dirty.! Now the fun begins, electric, lights, etc.

What's the cost of something like that in your area ? :dunno:

Hmm I wonder if putting in skylights would also help with lighting in there.

Anyway, looking good. Any problems with cooling a metal building?

Ok, first, we had to have some trees cut, about 12 of them, $2900.00, next, initial grading of the spot, $500, next final grading and concrete, $3781.16. Next the building, $7815.55,delivered and set up. Just went to. Lowe's, $108 for starting electric work.   So far.....  more to come I am sure.
