Dave - Sad news to hear for sure.   I've been down that road twice.  No two cases are going to be the same, so all I can offer is what worked for me.   Cancer can screw with your mind along with your body, so keeping a positive "whatever it is, we'll deal with it" kind of attitude helps.   I had to lean on a lot of other people.... something that doesn't come easily to me.... so try not to fight it when help is needed or offered.

Prayers sent.   Hang in there.

Ok well THANK YOU for all the well wishes!  This is one of the reasons I have been a little distant lately, the meds I'm taking really do kind of mess with me but getting through this.

So the cancer has been caught early so this is positive.  I have another biopsy in about a month which will disclose the extent of it all . . . I am positive that I will kick this quickly.  Actually hoping that in the next biopsy, it will be gone.  It is prostate cancer . . .

I wasn't sure I wanted to tell the world as I am kind of a private person . . . but this is my second family so I agreed to let CudaCody disclose my situation.

Thanks again Everyone!   :bigthumb:

Dave, Sorry to hear of your cancer diagnosis. Don't let this get you down that's the worst you can do. You can beat this, keep family close, I know during this time of the Pandemic that's hard to do.
A personal note that you can get through this. My Father who passed in Nov 2014 had Prostate Cancer, and I know you are nowhere near the age he passed at. He was 93 when he was finally taken by it.His number for many years was way over 100. Stay strong and safe and remember that my Dad stayed ahead of it for years. Al

I just found out this afternoon that my step-father has lung cancer.  Now I read this.  My heart is breaking. I'm glad that this site is "family" for a lot of us.  I wish you the best.
