When I was at Mecum a couple weeks ago there were two orange Superbirds. On one the lettering in the wing decal and the Plymouth call out on the quarter were white and on the other it was black. Which is correct or what made the difference?

EV2 got white and EK2 got black, but most people messed that up when restoring them, and I think the factory even messed them up when building them.

As always, white looks way better. :alan2cents:

My ears were ringing, I was just reading again about Lynch Road assembly (on Winged Warriors) yesterday, pulled quote:

All of the decorative decals on the car were installed at Clairpointe. The assembly guidebook prescribes these combinations concerning the wing decals and the "Plymouth" quarter panel lettering:

White decals: EB5-EV2-999
Black decals: EW1-EK2-FY1-FJ5

The nose decals were always matt black, using DiNoc material (slightly textured). Only the left headlight door received a miniature version of a wing decal.
