You haven't caved in yet. Just wait till the kids have em sleeping on the beds, the sofa . and they bark at everyone passing your house . you will be the big meanie for yelling at the dog. He/she will be lonely during the day and everyone will say it will be better with two dogs. Now thats caving in. My youngest daughter phone me one day, saying she was at the pound getting another dog. I said no ***** way.I said you don't have your mothers permission to get a second dog. She said hold on , mom, dad wants to talk to you. I just hung up the phone. That is one beauty of a dog .

Looks like a Black Lab. Labs are the great dogs. I have had 2 in the last 20 years and loved them. Go for it and make the kids and the dog HAPPY !!

It's been about half a year since my Wilbur passed, almost ready for a new puppy now.
My other dog is lonely.

Thanks guys...yeah she is a Black Lab...apparently Grandma is 1/4 husky and Dad was a Lab. So basically a Lab.

My wife has wanted a puppy for years. My son has always been a bit nervous around dogs but that changes recently, so I caved and said yes.

To be honest, she is adorable and I am sure she will be a great companion for the whole family.
