Wow...all those pics of old Mopars in the deep snow !!!   I grew up in western Pennsylvania where we would average around 50-60 inches of snow a year.   They put salt on the roads to melt the snow and rust the cars horribly.

I now live near Raleigh, NC where the average snowfall is about 2 inches a year, last year none.   Im happy to say that the cars NO LONGER RUST down here.   I keep my two classics a 66 Charger and a 74 Challenger in the garage where their safe and take them out to drive about once a week.   Recently i bought a 2013 Chrysler 200 Limited convertible with only 39,000 miles and zero rust anywhere on the car and its my daily driver.   With the 3.6 V6 having 283 HP its fun to drive and still gets an average of 24.5 MPG.

Here is a picture of my Challenger with my grandkids in front at a "Trunk-or-Treat" Halloween event at a local Church for Halloween.

I've seen that picture before.  I believe it was in Wisconsin sometime in the 70s.
That '71 hemi cuda convertible is now in the Brothers collection.

RUNCHARGER

1978: Time to buy a 71 R/T, 4 speed. I just feel it! Pickup is not even 1 week old in that terrible snow.

RUNCHARGER

I looked for a 426 Hemi for a few years. Found one in March 1980 in a 73 Cuda.
Drove it home on glare ice, 75 miles. Soft pedaling 500HP on bald N50's was a skillset itself. I had one long 6% hill to climb, hit the bottom of the curvy bugger as hard as I could, over the top at 10MPH and dropping, Memories...
