Virginia to turn over car emissions to California...and every change they ever make!
I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that, bit by bit, the liberal majority in Richmond is turning Virginia into California.
On Friday, the Senate of Virginia actually passed a bill that mandates we in Virginia follow stringent California-generated vehicle emissions standards and electric car sales targets.  That's right...the word "California" is printed multiple times in House Bill 1965.  There were 30 "clean energy bills" filed during the 2020 session.  This year we are continuing down that path...a path that will raise energy prices and impact the middle-class and our small businesses the most.
California is known to have the highest car prices and the most radical emissions standards in the country, and now Virginia is agreeing to join California for these standards.
But it's much worse.  The bill passed by the liberal majority did not want to get input from you, the citizens, on this matter.  So they exempted your input from the public regulation hearings called the "APA hearings."
Next, they stated in the bill that no matter what crazy policy California adopts, Virginia will just agree without any further hearing, review, or vote.
Virginia will follow the most liberal state in the nation on every move.
I voted against this bill in the Commerce and Labor Committee and again on the Senate floor on Friday. I attempted to amend the bill to require the General Assembly to see the regulation before it goes into effect and the majority voted NO.  I then had a very reasonable amendment to state that Virginia would need to vote to approve any new regulation from California, again the liberal majority voted NO.
We don't need to be telling our auto dealers what they can and cannot sell. We don't need to increase car prices on working Virginians.  We should never give up our voting right to anyone...much less California."

In the mean time, we are all censored and required to be quiet.
No meetings in pubs, church's and taverns.  The liberals are pressing their luck with those of us who believe the constitution.
Those who choose to close their eyes to these events will simply end up without these cars we celebrate.
More likely though, those of us who love these cars will listen to what is going on and work to change what is going on and will most likely save or prolong how long the liberals who like these cars are allowed to have them.

sucks that they can just take away our rights, without even asking us.  This is the liberal, left, socialist, communistic agenda.

Censorship is one step closer to ruining this country.

Around here, everyone seems to be moving to or planning to move to Tennessee or Kentucky.  Please join us, we'll make it a car lovers Mecca!  Just stay away or leave your family behind if you think they'll bring their destructive politics to our sanctuary....

I thought about moving to Tennessee right after my divorce 10 years ago when I visited her down there and loved the area but it wasn`t feasable financially at the time.

Colorado is having an influx of Californian's.  Our laws will soon reflect that.  Really sucks that 3 counties control the entire rural state of Colorado.  No one here is liberal, mostly conservative.  We love cars and trucks out here, love to hunt and love freedom, but somehow things are changing here due to those three counties.  Unfortunate.
I am starting another spec home in about 2 months.  If anyone wants to move to Colorado, I have a home for ya!!

Any 1996 and newer car and light truck sold in New York has to have CA emissions. And NYC, Syracuse, Buffalo-Rochester Tell us rural folks what we are going to pay for and do.   :headbang:

How do you think California got to be the way it is?  Most of my county is conservative (Well at least the older folks.... The twenty somethings have mostly been brainwashed by schools)
