Prices around here are getting crazy as well. Long term plans are to sell and move north as long as this bubble doesn't burst...... I think it will though. Tough for our kids to get into the housing market with these prices, but same thing happened in the 80's . It's all a big cycle, just have to jump on at the right time.

It's nuts here too. My little place is over $600k now. Vancouver is way worse.

There was a similar sized house for sale here in town. I want to say it was on the market for under 20k.  :drunk:

Kind of like that tiny house craze. Some of those houses are selling in the 600k range.(in Oregon I think)

17 years ago I paid $150 for mine I'd guess it would go for around $500 and up now... It's a sellers market here they sell really quick, often bidding wars I've heard of them selling 80k over listing price. :looney:

You guys could buy 2 of my houses for the money you're talking and still have change left over for a new Challenger Demon.  Guess I'm not moving anytime soon.  Can't afford to!

Topcat

Sounds like the Bay Area disease is spreading.

Parents bought their house in 69' for $34K

Now worth 1.75 Million and it needs everything.

Our buck is down though. That $1m is about $725kUS.

The market is going up here in Denver too and houses are selling very quick.  I bought mine almost 10 years ago for $325k and its supposed to be worth $500k now.  Lord willing, I won't have to move and will buried with my dog in the backyard.   :andyangel:

The housing market is back where it was pre-2008.

Hopefully this is not the warning track.
