what type adhesive from windshield to rubber gasket.

Not an e bodie, but I own a ford edge and the rubber gasket that goes from the windshield to metal (makes up the gap) has come loose.
Does anyone know what type of adhesive to glue it back in place? It needs to be something that can be removed and reinstalled to replace windshield. The glue in it new is black and stringy but not completly dry.

I assume this product stays pliable so if the windshield needs to be replaced, it comes off the rubber.

Yes, it does and the urethane that's holding the w/s in currently is a whole lot harder to get off, but it's all in a days work for the glass guys.
