About a year or two ago I remember a Whiskey thread with quite a few knowledgeable people chiming in. Anyways, here is my bottle.  I'm not interested in selling it at all.  Just curious.

My Grandpa quit drinking in or around 1955 and one of his friends gave him this bottle.  So it's been in the family ever since.

It does have a registration number etc.
1973 Cuda. 340 4 speed.

Have no idea . . . sure there is some type of forum out there that would have the info you are looking for . . .  :bigthumb:
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

Love the carrier for it.   :drinkingbud:  Sorry I don't know what the value is, but it's super cool.

Maybe do a little research here - http://whiskyadvocate.com/

Cool looking bottle for sure. Unfortunately once it's in the bottle the aging is done. Nice back of the bar decoration for sure.

Hmmm would I like an 18 year old in 1955 or wait until she's 84 ?

I'd trade that baby for a case of something you like and spend a couple years enjoying it. Alcohol is like cars to me. Meant to be enjoyed.

My entire family including myself cellar wines. My grandfather always "waited for the special occasion" to drink them. When he died probably 1000 bottles of wine were distributed between my uncles. Some have the idea that they are made to be drank and did exactly that. My father? "i'm waiting for the right occasion to drink them" or "are you crazy do you know how much that bottle is worth?" I know exactly what is going to happen. I'm going to drink these bottles, regardless of their worth, at his funeral. Can't take it with you.

Boy, it's tough to argue with your logic there laddie! I've got a bunch and have started to nibble into them with family and close friends. I've got a bottle of 1974 Crown Royal that's the same age as my old Challenger and I think that when I get the stroker in 'er, we may just have to have a couple of snorts to commemorate it. Cheers!!  :drinkingbud:

Hey Ian
That would be pretty cool to display with the car at car shows. Various bit of memorabilia from '74 in your '74.

I think that is a great idea! I bought a case (6 bottles) of wine from 1986, the year I was born. I drink one on each birthday. I will consume the last one in 2021 when I turn 35. Yeah, I could keep a bottle till I am 50 or 70, but either myself of the wine could expire before then. Bottoms up!
