I like the T/A hood the best. I was disappointed when they announced the new Challenger T/A and then it had an AAR styled hood on it.

I hear ya/agree. It was a let down for me too..... :tired:

While the shaker hood looks way cool & is so rare on any Challenger it is restrictive for air flow & a royal pain to work with .

If I could vote Twice, the Shaker is #1 for me but a SUPER close 2nd is the T/A Hood.   :inlove:

If I could vote twice, I'd vote for the T/A hood both times, and then it would be tied with the Shaker for 1st place.  :D

I agree the shaker is the least user friendly and I don't think it gulps much air either. They do look cool though.

T/A and AAR hoods are the nicest looking.

Was never a fan of the shaker, thought they looked odd. Definitely like the TA and AAR followed by the Challenger twin scoop hood.

I harbored a desire to built a modern TA (with the correct hood) and AAR but it would mean selling off everything else.  :-[

you can get a 2012 with a TA hood for under $20k. they had (still have? dunno) a factory Exterior package that included the TA hood + several folks have added the Cervinis kits. keep an eye on Autotrader.com and Cargurus.com, sort by price and see whats out there

Unfortunately, the funding for that project has dried up for the most part. Have to be content with what I have  :-[

Without a doubt, nothing looks better to me than a T/A hood.

I remember reading once that the designer of the T/A hood was a military aircraft buff, and was inspired in his design by the design of the P51's inlet scoop.  The P51 the coolest best looking fighter plane ever built!  Need I say more on what my choice is?

Big believer in KISS... Keep It Simple Stupid..... Shaker is complicated, PITA to work on & doesn't draw enough air to justify the effort....  T/A is just a basic boundary layer scoop, easy to work on, effective & nothing to break....

AAR Hood is a NACA duct design, cool but late to the game, Shelby had NACA duct hoods in 69... And they had three NACA ducts vs an AAR's single NACA duct...
