I remember wanting a power bulge hood on my first Challenger so bad but couldn't find one. (80's)
What's your favorite? I'd say the AAR design wise is my favorite.

They're all cool other than the flat hoods. I prefer the Challenger R/T hood much more than the Cuda hood though. I also prefer the T/A over the AAR hood although the AAR gets points for being unique.

I'd have to pick a functional hood scoop over any decorative scoops, as long as it isn't a lift off hood because those are difficult to handle by yourself.  That narrows it down to shaker, T/A & AAR.

I've read quite a few places that say the T/A hood works better than the AAR hood because it gets the air from above the boundary layer.

Also, the T/A hood is less likely than the AAR to have water pour into the scoop while driving in a rainstorm.

I think the T/A hood is more unique than the AAR hood.
Aren't there a lot of Camaros with scoops similar to an AAR?

Shaker hood is OK also.
It might be more work to get to the carburetors with a shaker, if you're planning to make frequent adjustments (racing), but I don't mess with my carbs much.

An organisol T/A hood will probably grab more attention than a body color shaker hood, just due to the contrast of the color difference on the large surface area of the hood.

:iagree:

I also like the shaker hood quite abit and definitely would prefer that on any 440-6 or Hemi cars.  Especially when you have a good cam and it actually "shakes"

Growing older is mandatory...growing up is optional.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

:iagree:  The only exception is a flat hood.  They just don't look right on an e-body and I would have to switch it out to a 2 scoop hood.

You could get T/A on a non T/A Challenger from the factory, but could you also get an AAR hood on a non AAR?

If I could vote Twice, the Shaker is #1 for me but a SUPER close 2nd is the T/A Hood.   :inlove:
