In a way it reminds me of the 24 hours of Lemans disaster in the '50's. A Mercedes racer hit the barrier in front of the grandstands head-on and the hood and motor tore through the crowd killing a bunch of people.

I just watched an awesome documentary on my flight from CT to San Fran called "Ferrari: Race to Immortality". This accident was one of the events that was covered because it involved a Ferrari driver as well. I recommend watching it.

303 Mopar

Mustang drove off Woodward 150' into a parked Challenger at the Woodward Dream Cruise last weekend.

RUNCHARGER

Dang: That's a nice looking Challenger, oh well the Mustang driver didn't mean to do it.

Suffered the same fate as "Christine" - crushed by a tracked front-end loader.  :Thud:

Unlike "Christine" this one was then buried for a "dirt nap"  :bricks:

We pretty much have all heard of the tale ... but what eludes us (me) is the real reason "why?"  :notsure:
Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)
