70 Challenger R/T Clock Removal Help

Looking for general help as to how to remove the clock from my 70 Challenger R/T for repair. Rally gauge cluster. At first glance it appears the clock can be removed from under the dash by first removing the radio for improved accessibility. Is this the best approach or do I need to remove the entire gauge cluster?

While not easy, you should be able to remove it while the cluster is still in the car.   Here's some photos to help you know what you're working with.

Yes it can be removed with the cluster in the car and patience

with both statements above . . . it can be done with patience as there is next to no room back there to work.  Removal of the radio should help some.  I have attached several additional pictures to go along with @Cuda Cody's pictures which may aid you with what you should see.  First four pictures are from a 72 - 74 cluster and the rest are from a 70 - 71 cluster however the clocks both go in and come out the same way as far as the three screws from the back.

next question, were is the best place to buy a quartz movement.

In my opinion, removing the radio is a must....and as a suggestion, depending on how nimble you are.....removing the four nuts on the driver's seat, removing the seat and giving yourself plenty of room to stretch out....really makes you more comfortable and the job doesn't seem too arduous.

After studying it a bit I agree with removing the driver seat and radio for improved access.

next question, were is the best place to buy a quartz movement.

I've done 3 conversions using Instrument Services R-3035.  Second hand doesn't "tick" though, it's a continuous sweep.
