New to the site, not new to the `cuda.

Hello everyone, here is my intro...

My grandfather purchased a 1970 Barracuda gran coupe in, 1970.   I rode in it when I was a little guy to haircuts and around town to burger king.   The car lived all its early life in El Monte California and was garage kept but was well used.  I got my grandma to admit she got it up to 120 going out to Vegas one time.       So when it came time to buy my first car, I ventured out to Pomona swap meet and found two cars I really liked.  A late 60s Camero with a 302,  and a 1974 `Cuda 360.   Naturally I bought the cuda.  The price was $3000 and seemed pretty expensive at the time.  Putting the pedal to the metal I was excited about that car.  The acceleration was awesome.   Then I had a couple small accidents and the body was in need of repair.   I went to the Airforce, fixed up the 74 cuda body a little and pumped up the engine with a purple shaft, weiland intake, BG carb, some clutch packs and manual valve body.  That 360 really came alive.   Once out of the AF I wanted to really do the car some justice and I began to strip it down for a complete restoration.   A few things happened during that time, my grandfather was retiring the keys to the gran coupe, he had me rebuild the front suspension and said just keep it at my house.  That's where my ebay name and now this forum name twocudas comes from.    My wife at the time decided to separate from this awesome mechanic, and I didn't have the cash flow to get the restoration complete.   So the 1974 body and vin was sold about 15 years ago and I retained all the stripped parts for some reason. I think it was to have plenty of spare parts in hopes of turning the gran coupe into a cuda.  Fast forward 10 years now and my gran coupe has been non op and parked in the garage for, about 10 years now.   With all this inflation fear and gas prices as high as they are and electric cars dominating our roads, I just couldn't stand it anymore.   I've decided to day is the day.  I am an airplane mechanic and have restored a 1967 Cessna 182, whats holding me back from getting this car on the road? Being frugal?  there is only so much happiness being frugal.  Plus my son is turning 7 this year and we need some hobbies.   So I have pulled the trigger on buying a 392 and kit from Ryan at Roseville Moparts,  TKX from Silversport, some year one 17" wheels and a couple other goodies to get this car on the road.    Once we have everything perfected, maybe we will revisit bodywork.   Anyways, hope you enjoyed the story, watch for 1974 cuda parts for sale in the coming future and see you all around.  Still trying to figure out where we should share everything on this site so bare with me.
