USCT inner rocker sill brace review

Anyone use these in their restoration, any thoughts on these, little pricey at almost $400 without shipping, I like the idea just seeing if the execution is worth it, thanks

Interesting, first I've seen of these?  I found a similar structure inside of my rockers on my 71 Javelin. I'm sure it would be an improvement in strength. Not something I would bother with unless I already had to replace the rockers anyhow.  I'm kinda "frugal" aka cheap and would make my own before I'd spend $400 USD on that. Dimple dies are cheap enough.

Thanks, I have my rockers off now and this will be the "last time" that will happen so that's my dilemma

If I were at your stage I would add them but I'd make my own, likely less than $100 and some time. Maybe add or improve their design while your at it. Triangle structure? At this point your only limited by your imagination.  Or 1x3 box structure ( or what ever size fits in the rockers) with dimple dies or holes with 1" tubing welded in. Makes a huge difference in torsional rigidity. I make my subframe connectors this way.

Attached are some pictures of rocker sill braces I snagged off the net over the many years.  Credit to whomever posted them years ago.

The first two pictures are challenger convertible factory rocker sill braces.  The other 4 show how the sill was cut open, then a tube steel brace was welded in and tied to the structure, then covered with the rocker panel.
