I bought my Barracuda in 1982, the engine blew about 6 months later and although I rented a garage for a short time and tore it down in the driveway of the gf`s mothers house I didn`t get to actually restoring it until I bought my first house that had a detached two car garage (one of my few requirements when house shopping) in 1992, 3-4 years later I was driving it again. I understand that not everyone has the tools, skills or a garage set up to do major bodywork and paint and that the is a major part of a restoration cost.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

I really like it with the Rallye hood .. the old wheels remind me of my high school days!

I like the `cuda hood but really love the AAR hood and I have one that is going on this winter, I`m painting it orange and re-doing the stripes to line up with the scoop.

Well, that will definitely change the look - I just didnt care for the black on orange - LOVE the white interior though.  Awesome car!

The black was temporary and the plan was to paint it eventually but it was a pin on hood and I (my bad back really) decided I wanted a hinged one and it was too much work to try and convert that one.
