Belt moulding

Hello to all . Can someone tell me who makes the best cuda door top belt moulding that fit ?

I am not sure of the manufacturer, because it's not listed on either the part or invoice, but I purchased (from Classic Industries) the Barracuda ('Cuda) Door Top Edge Molding (P/N ME1652) and I am pretty sure it's top quality. It's not the anodized aluminum molding that I believe is factory, but rather, (and I am speculating here a bit) stainless steel.

From my experience, a big question is: What manufacturer makes a decent set of molding attachment hardware. I bought four sets and I only found one that worked well, and I couldn't find another set! The others fit too tightly on the door frame and it's really easy to scratch the paint when installing the molding.

But if someone knows the name of the manufacturer, I'd like to know too.

I've seen references to OER on the belt molding.  I would be surprised if there are more than a few makers of this trim.  The demand just isn't there for a bunch of sources to try and make and sell these.  It's possible they all come from one source.

I am pretty sure you are right and these OER, stainless steel. The Classic Industries book lists both chrome and stainless. I prefer stainless personally, just because it looks better over time and also, it's much more difficult to bend them. The installation of them was odd though, because I had to start from the front of the door and work my way back.

Well, PG Classics belt molding sucks. Not sure who manufactures them but one cracked with very little pressure applied to it to try to follow the curvature of the door top. I believe these ones are chrome plated.

I'll be using my original moldings now. My body guy knows someone who said they can repair them and will polish them to a mirror finish.

If I could find stainless ones, I'd probably have gone that route but all I could find is anodized aluminum or chrome plated. OER only offers aluminum or chrome plated ones, no stainless.

I bought aftermarket ones and had to toss them.  I had an original set restored and they went on much easier.
