Thanks in advance...I think it's from the doors to my 71 barracuda but I can't recall or find anything online when I do a reverse search.   I have two of them.

Not sure but it looks broken the one edge is very rough compared to the rest. Maybe part of a window regulator bracket?

.

Not broken .... Those are the "up" window stoppers, from around 1972 / onward
They attach to the door frame, on the inside of glass.

Could it be the guide?

when you rebuild an engine, and there is an extra piston left over, but the engine starts and runs fine, at some point, you don't worry about it.

I don't think those parts belong anywhere on a 1971 Barracuda.

But they DO come pretty close (because they show that offset from the plane onto which they fasten) to the window felt guides in post #3.

If there is a prize for the correct answer, I nominate Cuda Cody.

My vote go to 72-74 window up stops. Cuda Cody picture shows the early style glass guide with the j nut bolt used up to Jan Feb of 1970 when they switched to a captive nut bolt setup. He also has pictured the 70 /71 style up stop. I agree with pschlosser that they dont belong on a 70 or 71 cuda

Nobody thinks it could be a broken run channel?

I was messing with the window in my '74 Challenger today, and saw these. Like RJChallenger said, these are the upper travel stops for the window. There is one in the front bolted inside the door where the upper bushing stops and one in the back, bolted immediately under the window guide fuzzy, for the rear stop.

Picture of the rear one with the seal removed for visibility. Its right under the fuzzy.

Great picture that's it. So it's for a later model Ebody.

Are these for the door glass or the quarter windows?

Wow thats perfect.  I knew my my passenger door wasnt original, and had suspicion it was from a later year.  If these arent the same for 71s then that may end my suspicion.   Also helps because I could only seem to find two 71 up stops (adjustable with rubber ends) in my stash.  Thanks everyone for your help!

Mine are definitely in the door for the side glass. Haven't started working on the quarters yet to know if they are in there, but there has to be something in there for an upper stop for the quarter glass too.

RJChallenger

The up stop for the quarter glass is built into the track the quarter glass runs in.
