Hey All,
I'm needing the passenger seat left metal bezel that completes the hinge area. It would be to the inside of the car towards the console. See attached pictures for the part number. Three different numbers and I'm not sure which is the actual part number, so I figured a picture says a thousand words. Mine has somehow managed to be fairly distorted right at the screw location. Over tightening most likely. I'm just amazed that the pot metal bent that much without cracking or breaking. So, anyone got one? Thanks.

Heat it up and push it back out?

I thought about that and may still go that route, but thought I would get on the hunt at the same time. It's a little hard to tell, but it even distorted the inner lip. Not sure how much movement I can get out of this pot metal. The only way I can think of to go after straightening that lip is by hitting it with something. My past experiences with beating on pot metal have not turned out well.

I'd try to press it back into shape using a vise.  Put a piece of rubber or soft wood on the outside and use an appropriately sized socket on the inside.  Heat it first, then gently apply pressure with the vise.

That's the plan.  :)

Well some of it came out. Will I ever see it? Probably not, but I'm going to keep the wanted add open. So if anyone has one they can part with, let me know. Thanks.

Let's hear the details, how much heat for how long?
After pic?

I don't know how warm I had it, but It was pretty warm through leather gloves. I used a MAP gas torch. I think it was warm enough. I think the issue was the shape of the bezel in relation to the screw bung on the inside. I couldn't get on it at the exact opposite angle that the screw put on it so it didn't get it all out before I was beginning to press it too far on one side of the screw bung. Like I said, I'll probably never see it, but the OCD in me will look for a replacement as long as it isn't absurd cost wise. :looney:

That's gold, "Set it, and forget it"

Just looked at mine and both are worse than yours. This side (towards center of car) don't have long enough stand offs like the other sides do with the push buttons. I'm guessing the worker  trying to get the plastic back piece aligned, vinyl/foam compressed did it at the factory.

On a side note, found one of my buttons is broken off from the trim and the other side is hanging on by a thread.

Yeah one of mine was broken as well. 55 years of use.  :))
