SB 6 pack intake question

I am building my 73 Cuda restomod and have a EFI 6 pack on it which uses a factory Mopar (Edelbrock) intake. I just noticed that the heater hose fitting seems small, I checked another intake and that hole was like 3/8 NPT but the one on my 6 pack intake is 1/4 NPT. I picked up a 1/4 NPT with 3/8 barb brass fitting so I can make it work.

Anyone know if this is right or not? I don't really feel like drilling and retapping it but I could if I had to.

Do you use the heater much ? I would drill & tap it ifit bothers you .
