Need opinions on radiator
« on: February 02, 2023, 03:18:20 PM »
I’m replacing the rad in the Charger with a higher capacity one. The question is do I go with standard aluminum like I have now or black anodized?

I would say it depends on what's actually anodized ? If the inside of the tubes are then I might go for it other wise if it's just the tanks I'd just used black BBQ paint. Cheap and easy to touch up if needed.
It's the inside where the coolant is that would be nice to be anodized, the outside is just cosmetic .

@Jay Bee  The rad I'm getting measures exactly the same as the rad that's in the car now except the new one will have a thicker core and three tubes instead of two.

Okie dokie, sounds like you're all set. I guess with the 3 tubes the 13lb rad cap will be OK  :dunno:
