1970 Challenger carpet install

I'm installing the carpet in my Challenger.  It is an auto with a console.  Looking for some pictures of how the carpet should be trimmed around the console brackets and specifically around the shift rod that goes through the floor to the transmission.  Does the carpet go under the boot and bezel or is it cut around the rod and lay on top of the boot and bezel.
