Has anyone added anchor points to properly mount a modern child seat in their car?

My son is 2 and it's been a few months where he's no longer afraid of the V8 sound.   ☺[emoji108][emoji106][emoji23]

I want to bring him with me everywhere in the Cuda.

Figured I'd ask if anyone's done this in case someone came up with something that worked nicely.

Thanks.

I have hauled my daughter in both my 'Cuda and my Warlock using the factory belts. For front facing in the 'Cuda, I ran the top anchor behind the seat to the trunk hinge area. I will likely improve on that here soon as it's not my favorite setup, but I do feel that it is safe for her current weight.

The lower anchor is just using the factory seat belt and it seems to work just fine.

We did go to the baby store and buy the shortest [fore/aft] car seat that they had as our back seat is very very thin. Even with the front seat all of the way forward, her feet touch. I have hauled my nephew [4] in the car as well and he was just fine.

The lap belt just doesn't get tight enough for a snug fit.

Guidelines call for <1" of movement at the belt line, I can't really move my car seat in the X or Y axis of the car right at the belt, certainly not 1".
