Show me where and how you guys installed your aftermarket gauges in your cars.  I am especially looking for creative and good looking examples with the larger 2-5/8" gauges.

I am restoring my 71 Challenger and replaced almost every wiring harness and many other electrical items.  I have senders setup to use the factory standard instrument cluster, but I am also adding the aftermarket gauges.  I have an old SunPro Super Tach II and a brand new set of AutoGage 2-5/8" water/oil/volts gauges.  It is an AC car so it has the lower dash trim running from steering column to passenger kick panel and just above the front edge of the center console.  I like the way the Dakota Digital replacement instrument clusters look, but I'm not rich so that won't be happening.  I thought about installing the small tach made to fit right where the clock delete sits in the factory cluster, but it is well over $225 by itself!  I like the look of my old SunPro tach, which I believe is about 3-3/8" or so.  It was sitting on the front edge of the center console in a fabricated box when I bought the car.  What are your ideas and please send examples of what you've done.

I finally just fabricated a sheet metal housing and mounted them under the dash. I "think" I left enough room for the console.
