auto to manual pedal conversion

A long time ago when I converted my 70 Gran Coupe from auto to manual i found that the 70-71 pedal assembly was way more expensive than the 72-74 units. The only difference I could see were the shape of the pedals. Since the 72-74 pedals are bigger I just used that assembly and cut the pedals down to the 70-71 size and bought new rubber covers.

they are way cheaper you are correct.  The 72+ pedals are bigger and could  be cut to the same shape but the arms that the pads are attached to are shaped different. I though about doing the same thing but I'll keep my search going or try this conversion kit
