Center console lid cable question.

Thanks much!  My console definately must have had one, and my lid must have been replaced with a later one and the original cable got tossed.  I will need to drill a hole in my lid for a screw so I can install the cable.

Here's a few shots from my F8 console, thought strongly to be the original. As you can see, I'm not at this stage yet, but this thread convinced me to unbox mine and I'm pleased with its condition. Hope this helps. (SPD 11/4/69)

PS: the last pic above is of an extra wood grain console plate I have, much darker, but very nice "wood grain" decal.
