I'm working on the dash for my cuda and have a question about the clock reset knob.  It is a 72 and later set and I can't figure out how the knob attaches.  I see the pin is threaded on the end and it looks like it has a flat spot in it.  The knob won't thread on because of the flat spot.  Do I have the wrong knob?

:iagree:  It's a tiny little barrel set screw on the 70 & 71's.  I think it might be the same on the 72's and up.

The flat side inside the knob allows the knob to turn the shaft

Does anyone know if the barrel nuts are sold anywhere? I was planing on making one, but I will have to pick up a #1 tap, so it might be cheaper to just buy one.

Check with Dave.  eBay is another option.

Cody, thanks, Dave actually lives about 1/2 mile from me, and Roseville is about 10 minutes away  ;)

But making things also helps justify to my wife why I spend so much on my machine shop!

That's it.  The barrel nut.  I remember seeing them but most suppliers only sell them with the knob and I think they were pretty pricey.  If anyone has one for me, let me know.

Well that's an idea Chryco Psycho!  I would make it from aluminum or brass through, not chrome plated like the originals.

I am sure you could sell them as they are needed
