So we are about to pull the trigger and install the headliner.  Once it is in, how do we find all the screw holes and bolt holes for the coat hanger, seat belt bolt, belt clips, visors, mirror, and dome light?  What is the trick?

Put the screws in the holes first and the headliner on top, then feel for the screws and poke your Phillips screwdriver through the headliner to remove the screws  :alan2cents:

Take a picture or mental note of the holes before you put it on. It is pretty easy to feel the holes. I also just used a thin sewing needle to probe when I wasn't 100% certain.

I second, installing the screws first . . . this is how I did mine and it worked out great!

Same.  By far the easiest and most fool proof way to do this.

I have my liner from SMS and was planning on having it put in (I removed the old one and saved it, and have all the bows). This has me tempted to try it on my own. Or not?

General rule for myself . . . if I am contemplating trying it on my own . . . I try it on my own.  Following this rule, I have had many "firsts" on my build and even ended up surprising myself a few times along the way.

I was also tempted to have my headliner professionally installed but up to that point, I had already done everything else on my own so, I figured why not?  I guess worse case scenario, I would have to buy a new headliner and have someone install it anyway.

I switched mine from white to black.  It really wasn't that hateful . . . unless you don't have patience, then you could be in trouble.
