Can anyone tell me what this piece is?

That photo doesn't really show the part too well, What size is it and what's it made out of? Is that texturing on it?  :huh:

Sorry. It's made of rubber. Probably 1 1/2" x 3". Found it behind the kick panel area. Would it even be part of the car?

To me it looks like some excess molding material that had been on the dash metal dash core.
