When I bought my R/T SE, the shoulder belts and all the hardware were missing as well as the coat hooks.  I have now got all the parts, and am ready to install (shout out to Mike @HEMICUDA  for the shoulder belts).  My question is does the cardboard headliner have all the right holes/provisions for mounting?  I started by looking for the shoulder belt bolt holes and found a "hole" in the cardboard, but it felt like it has nothing behind it for the bolt to screw into.  I didn't want to start cutting the felt randomly and end up with a bunch of cuts in my headliner.

Thanks!

Is your headliner already in place?  I've not done a SE headliner, but when I do a normal headliner I put the screws in place before I put the headliner in.  That way I can feel where they need to go, make a small cut to access them and take them out and immediately put the belts, coat hooks, belt holders and sun visor in place.

The only other way I can think of would be to measure a car that does not have a headliner in and then transfer the placement to yours.   :notsure:

You can also try poking a tiny wire or needle through the headliner to find the bolt holes?   :dunno:

The headliner is already installed.  I will try a needle and see if I can feel threads for the bolts.  The picture will help a lot!  Thanks!

I would take the inside drip rail molding off and drop the cardboard down a bit to see the and poke the holes from the backside :alan2cents:

Maybe these help a bit too.

That's a good idea!  I can also see what other stuff they might have done/removed/etc.

The rigid SE headliner panel has all of the required holes to mount the belts, coat clip, sun visors, etc.

Great photos!!!!  Thanks headjm.

Do the SE headliners use the same rods as normal Challengers?

Your headliner seems to be in good condition but if looking for other types these may or may not be options.
OEM is cardboard like material as opposed to plastic or fiberglass that these are.
They may be out of business but worth a try because they seem to be more like modern headliners.

Maybe someone here can make them!

I have one of Dayclona's headliners - it's a very well made  piece.  For those on the East cost, it's fairly inexpensive at $250, shipping anywhere outside of MA (where Dayclona lives) increases the further it needs to go -  It would have cost me over $200 to ship it to Portland, OR.

I used one of Dayclona's as well and it worked great. For me i supported it with boxes inside the car until I got shoulder harness bolts in to locate it. You should have no problem.

That looks like a clean install.
I personally find the SE headliners with overhead consoles to be what all e-bodies should have come with.

Got the shoulder belts and clips installed today!  Woo Hoo!!!

How long are the shoulder belts?  I got a set of repops but they seem a little short when I hang them up.  The last original set I had were definitely longer.
