My rear view mirror is a bit hazy and there is a pattern in it that makes it difficult to use. It needs to be re-silvered or have the mirror replaced.  Can these be serviced or is it a replace the whole thing with aftermarket?  Search came up empty other than the places that want to sell reproductions.

They're fairly easy to find good used, or go the repro route....I wouldn't mess around trying to fix it :alan2cents:

Try A glass shop!

I might if it can be disassembled. Can it?
The glass has to come out to be replaced or re-silvered but I haven't seen where anyone has done it.

Eyes are out for decent used one.

I was faced with the same issue and I chose to stick to original and found a good one in Carlisle because I couldn't see a way of taking it apart. Used cost me $10. I just swapped out the mirror portion and all happy now.
