At East Coast Classic Cars in Lillington, NC, there sits a 70 Cuda AAR...  beautiful...   I noticed that the dash was the standard dash not the Rally.   Is this truely an AAR or a tribute?   I thought all of the Cuda's came with Rally Dashes.

I do not believe they did-it was optional on Cuda's. All 70 Challenger R/T's came standard with Ralley Dashes though. ( I believe)

ABSOLUTELY NO Cuda left the factory with standard equipment rally gauges. It was an extra cost option on ALL of them.

Correct, optional all Cudas, std on 70 Challenger R/T. What about 71 Challenger R/T's? I'm assuming it was standard, but not sure.

If you couldn't get standard then how was it an "extra cost option" to get rally ?  :clueless:

I think a little is being lost to semantics

PLYMOUTH E-body 1970-'74 all models (BH, BP, BS) A62 - "RALLYE GAUGE CLUSTER" OPTIONAL extra cost

DODGE E-body 1970-'74 "JH" A62 - "RALLYE GAUGE CLUSTER" OPTIONAL extra cost & 1970-'71 R/T "JS" A62 was STANDARD

(A62 "RALLYE GAUGE CLUSTER" not available with /6)

The dealer checked off the option box for the rallye dash, customer paid the extra cost for the option, the factory installed it.

There was no such thing as rally gauges being "standard equipment" on a Cuda...they were an extra cost option on all of the cars.

I'm talking "standard equipment" NOT standard gauges  :alan2cents:

Let me rephrase... If you did not check off and pay the extra cost for the rally gauges, what did you get ?

Chryco Psycho

Std dash , no clock as it was optional
Grand Coupe had woodgrain face but std guages

Every Cuda was born with a standard dash unless the extra cost rally dash was ordered

This thread has quickly turned into mass confusion. First of all the Cuda at ECCC is a real AAR. I've been there and verified that fact by the VIN and fender tag. Second. The Rallye dash was an $90.30 option. You can look at other AARs for sale and see both dashes. Here is an example of both. Each are AARs with different dashes.
