Hi,
Looking for advice on 5.7 eagle swap. Planning to use 833 trans, Borgeson steering, factory manifolds. Will the Blackheart mounts fit everything into stock position, or is there a better option? Thanks for input.

The holley mounts do not put anything in the stock position...   Those mounts move the engine
forward one inch to provide additional clearances around the engine and trans if needed.

If you are using a 833 manual I would definitely go with the "other" mounts (TTI, et al) that leave
the trans in the stock location.     Not only would you have issues with the shifter using the holley
mounts your Z bar would not align either.

Very good to know! Thanks for the tip, I'd picked up a set of the Holley mounts several months back, and only recently heard they might affect placement. So... anyone looking for an unused set of holley mounts?

Katfish

Agreed, I bought the Holley mounts then had to buy TTI when I found out they interfered with my TTI shortie headers

@b5cuda

I may be interested.  I'm going total aftermarket...Gen 3 hemi, 392, and a Tremmec TKX 5-spd, so I don't know how anything can be called "stock location" on that set up.

If I use the holley mounts, are there headers that will work with that mount and engine location?   I assume if I go everything Holley -- engine mounts, trans mount, and headers...that everything will fit?

b5cuda

Thanks for asking, but i no longer have the mounts. Holley was kind enough to let me return them. You might want to call their tech line to confirm fitment on your planned drivetrain? You would think it would fit, but better to make sure before you try putting it all together.

Filthy Filbert

That's cool that they accepted them back.

Maybe I'll call them up and ask "do you have any recently returned mounts that you would sell at a discount?"   :haha:
