Is my engine sitting about right?

I've mocked up my engine.  I have ordered TTI engine mounts and headers for a 3rd Gen Hemi in a e-body.  I'm also retaining my torsion bar from suspension with a QA1 K-member.   Are you guys seeing about 3 1/2 inches from the firewall to back of the motor.  It just seems like a huge distance.  Also I'm pretty sure that 1.5 inches the motor is sitting to the left is normal too! 2nd picture is the passenger side where I can barely get my fingers in.  3rd picture is the drivers side where I can make a fist and there is still room.

The offset from centre seems about right. From the firewall, not sure, but it's not bad.
Usually more interested in the fan to rad space.

Where is your steering column going to go if you couldn't fit a fist between the motor and shock tower on the driver side?
