Ryanscotty

Hello,

I'm restoring a 73 Challenger that belonged to my dad. Sadly, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on August 5th of 2017 and passed away on November 25th.

Dad loved challengers and had a couple in the mid to late 70's. I've uploaded a pic of his favorite one on this thread.

He sold his Challenger and got married in 1976, became a pastor and raised a family. He always wanted another Challenger and was able to buy a 73 a couple years ago. He started working on it but unfortunately he got sick and passed away before finishing it. I've got the car now and I'm going to restore it in his honor and keep it in the family. I wasn't much of a car guy but I've really gotten into the car since starting this project. I feel a strong connection to my dad when driving the car.

I am in need of front bucket seats in order to complete the interior. Thanks for any advice you can offer me on restoring it.

Welcome to the site. Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. That's a difficult thing to endure.
Pretty cool your caring on with your Dad's car. He sounds like a cool guy that we would have a few things in common with.    I have a pair of front buckets seats I'd give you but shipping would be much more than there value. ( I'm in Canada 2 1/2 hours north of Buffalo NY)
Post up some pictures of the current car when you can!

Welcome to the site Ryanscotty!  Sorry about your dad . . I know how you feel as I recently lost my father as well although it was 2years ago, seems like yesterday.  Now the good news!  You found the best place to help you with your challenger!  As for seats, if you haven't already, post something in the parts wanted area about the seats and sure someone can help you out!  Glad you signed up!

Welcome to the forum! You have discovered the mother lode of information on e-bodies. I think it is great you are going to keep your Dad's car and not sell it.
