that explains a lot. when I took it apart, I thought it was nuts to have that combo. I just couldn't belive  the heads would flow enough for the pistons. and no lift? I thought that was insane.

That's an absolutely awesome combo on that car.  Black with white guts and white v5w pinstripes.
any chance we could get some better close up pictures of that v5w on the ends and the pin striping?
Maybe on another thread.  Not trying to hijack this thread.

I'm now interested in seeing the 71 vinyl gran poop seats.  Why are they the best chrysler ever made?

all thats left is  the portion of the pin stripe that you see in the photo. i was unaware that it had white  mouding. it does however have the rocker gills.

I'm kind of assuming it's a v5W after seeing what Dan wrote.
Plus it has the white pin stripes.

The fender tag or build sheet are the only answers to that question.

Still though, tx9 with that moulding stripe is a cool combination.

the numbers I have are based on 86.9% of 1970 Gran Coupe production, so there is a significant quantity of unaccounted for BP23 cars

I put together a few quick numbers for this Gran Coupe
the black & white contrast would be a stunning combination

You can usually find a set for sale around 200 bucks within a few months time frame.  Sometimes folks ask up to 4-500 :Thud:. if you need it quick..
