hi. my name is Bruce. i'm old and cant spell. love e bodies though.  had a 69 charger for years and swapped it off for a 70 barracuda a few yrs back. I was on the charger site for years. I have a 70 gran coupe . black with a 383. 4 speed. not much body rot, but banged up a bit. I live in south Dakota but the car came from around bakersfield cal. interior shot. was white but I want black. no ac. when I tore the engine down, it had the old trw 12 to one pistons in it and a very small cam. tons of duration. don't know wtf they were trying to do with this combo, but its mine now. it has anson ground grabbers on it , but the front havlfs are cut off.  told you I cant spell. I was a member here, but its been so long I couldn't get in. couldn't remember passwords and stuff and didn't post much, so I started over.  hope to have a good time here.  Bruce

"WELCOME BACK" & cue John Sebastian

that Gran Coupe project was in Las Vegas for ~10 years - I sold him a pair of front fenders for it
:alan2cents:     - black with the black vinyl top w/white interior & white body-side-moulding/pinstripes would look awesome  :wowzers: and it would be correct
IMO the '70 Gran Coupe vinyl interior is the best E-body interior Chrysler made!

the long duration cams were "cheater" cams to run in stock classes & would help that 12:1 breathe

@rtgreen I have a factory 383 4-speed 70 gran coupe as well! one of 341 produced. one of the best fetchers is the overhead consoles, and the most fun to make functional.  :handshake:

traced the title back. went from by Bakersfield to a guy in san bernidino to northern Wisconsin to brainerd minn to me. cool to find out why that cam was in it.

just so we are on the same page - we are talking about BP23N0E108xxx  :wowzers: I should've purchased it!!  :drinkingbud:

here are a few pics of it in Las Vegas, it came here "intact" and left as a "basket case" for the Chicago area (I don't know who TITLED it/where or when)

holy sh"t. you got to be kidding me. that's my car! how did you know? can you tell me more?  wow.

Welcome to the site from Ontario,  :canada: and good luck with  your restoration. The other aspect to that cam is that with so much duration, the overlap bleeds off some of that 12:1 CR so that you don't have to go to the airport for gas. Enjoy!
