As a new member here is a big hello to all who make this site work.  I have started work on my 70 440 six-pack Cuda. I have just put it on the rotisserie.  I am looking for some common ground here as it is hard to find some someone who is working on a six pack cuda.  The car was painted around 18 years.  I will start with the undercoat and then the paint.  This car has plenty of options so it will be a challenge.  As with the rest of the group I am just looking for a place to start.  I respect the opinions of those who have gone before me and made your projects work.  Looking forward to hearing about other project success stories.  A 70 cuda was my dream car in high school.  My dad was set on the fact that I could not afford the $109/month.  As a result of the bank needing more than my signature it was not meant to be.  18 years ago I purchased this 70 cuda from a person that had lost interest in the project.  I have been looking for parts thru the years and have come to the place I am wanting to take it to the next level.

Welcome from B.C. Canada.
What is the current condition of the car? Is it rusty? Just needs paint? Has bad previous bodywork?
Also what is the end goal? Concours resto exactly as it was on the showroom floor or nice driver with extra paint so it will last longer in normal driving?

Welcome to the site from Ontario,  :canada: and congrats on your car! You'll be told to put up photos and they are a good way for others to judge how and where for you to start your restoration. If you don't already know, be advised that these cars rotted in championship style and unless yours was stored in a Montana garage and never driven in the rain during it's life, be prepared to find rust in places you likely haven't imagined. It's the said rust and how much of it you want to eradicate that'll influence your restoration and attending costs. If you're one of the chalk mark/date code people be prepared to pay a lot more as some of that stuff is made of unobtainium and priced accordingly. I'm not trying to put you off your quest, as you have a valuable and desirable car there and she'll be  beauty when she's done. Good luck with it and look up Mopar Dave here on this site as he's the parts manager at Roseville Chrysler and gives members a decent discount on most anything you'll need for the old girl.

Car was has very little rust.  The paint will need to come off and there has been a lot of body work done.  Looking to at least have a daily driver.  The rest will depend on budget.

A sunny  :welcome: from Las Vegas. My first E Body was a 6 pack, so I do have some background on them. Pictures is a must to get some real valid directions on where to start, so all those lined up ready to help can give you some ideas. Post them when you can, and this has to be the easiest site anywhere to load pictures.

Welcome @Hotiron   :welcome:  Thanks for joining the group.   :grouphug:  Sounds like you have a cool project.  I like to restore them to as high quality as I can.  I'm always learning from members on here so I'm sure you'll get all the help you need.  If you have time please post a few photos of where you are right now.  Normally for me I like to remove all the parts, components and get the body down to nothing but old paint.  So the first step for me after everything is off the car is to put it on a rotisserie and remove the undercoating.  A mask, torch and lots of time will give you a good finished product that will media blast very well.  I've heard people using dry ice to freeze it and them smacking it with a hammer to "crack" and break it all off, however I've not tried that way yet.
