Nice original E body Prestolite Hi note horn. Unsure whether it has the correct original mounting hardware (see discussion below). Horn is in working order with a 6D date code and appears to have all the correct markings. See pics for further info. Reduced to $50 US plus shipping from Ontario, Canada.

Can you tell me why the bracket is bent. I have a set of horns with the bent brackets also. All Prestolite e-body ones I have seen are with a straight bracket.

The bend should mount flat to the inner fenderwell with the little tab in a positioning hole.   I've got several of these, and both the Prestolite and Sparton horns have the same "L" bracket, the difference being the Prestolites have the bolt to the bracket that can be loosened.

@vcode Any detail pics of those horns you have with the straight brackets?

@cudabin  @benguin I am sorry for the confusion, the hi note horn for sale looked to me like this  one. I know they should be straight with the end bend 90%
what is this horn for?

I think I see your question now- the bit of extra-bend in the bracket.  I'd guess that was a result of someone tweaking it for extra clearance while working in that section of the engine compartment.

It certainly looks like my e-body horns.  On a loose set I've got (which may be over-the-counter parts from the late 70s). the front of the horn with the Prestolite name has "HCA-61" and "LO" on the outer edge and HCA in the middle of the horn the back of the horn has a "12V" on the corner of the horn outlet.  The other has "HI" "HCA-60" "CAV No 1", "2" in the middle of the horn and the "12V" on the back.

If needed, I can see what the two under the hood have- but that may take a bit of time.  Two of these 4 are the originals.  I've got a pair of Spartons that are either from an LA built '70 Challenger or were from the Parts Dept.

@cudabin Nice find for somone!!

 Sorry V Code, I understand what you are referring to now.
Not sure why it has the bends you mention. I received this horn along with many other parts separated from the project car. I also have two sets of Sparton horns which I believe are correct for my 1974 Cuda. It has all the markings that Benguin has pointed out.

Does anyone rebuild the Presolite horns.  I have two that get power but won't sound at all.  They probably not sounded for 40 years and with my new rimblow rebuild it would be nice to get things functional there but can't seem to get them working.  Believe me, I've tested them inside and outside the car.  I got the low note horn to go for a brief second but now nothing.  The high note never did anything.  These are from a 70 Cuda

See the link in this thread for an excellent shop in Wisconsin that specializes in horns: https://forum.e-bodies.org/parts-wanted/25/wanted-horns-for-e-body/27561/msg310253#msg310253

If the internal coil isn't damaged you can try it yourself. I brought a B-body horn back to life using the procedure (somewhat) in the link below (may have to download the pictures). My biggest issue was using machine screws & nuts to put the 2 halves back together, definitely doesn't look factory.
