Putting this out as a question and offer.
I converted 3spd to the 4 speed 30+ years ago. Shifter added is the early style. Recently purchased a replacement with bolt in style handle.
Point of post - are these early version shifters more desirable than the later versions?
Real point is I would consider selling it to someone who is looking to have the "correct" style in their ride.
Correct is irrelevant to my needs.
Reply or pm if there is a specific interest.
Overall not looking to sell it, but am willing to give it up to someone who would need it for a restoration.

Once installed you can't tell until you pack second gear and the handle comes out in your hand

Power shifted plenty of times thru the years. Still in 1 piece.
Prior to moving up to the Ebody I frequently had to "reassemble" my Pinto shifter. It separated exactly as you stated.
