R/T sway bars are .88". Looking for a Sixpack / Hemi bar which is .94" in diameter. Oh, also looking for a OEM wheel well molding AND a passenger remote door mirror. this is for a 1970 Challenger R/T SE.

Right side, or "Passenger side" mirror was NEVER remote on an E-Body.  :alan2cents:

all 1970-'74 e-body sway bars are 0.88" diameter except for 1970 A53 "TRANS AM" (T/A - AAR) cars which were 0.94" diameter

Looking for a passenger side door mirror for a '70 Challenger.

@ShakerBoy   I had to double check, but @6bblgt  is 100% right.  Only T/A's got the larger front sway bar.  Let me know if you need one of the .88 bars I have.

I thought the 0.94 anti-roll bar was unique to AAR and T/A too.

Interestingly, the ICCA judging book says "AAR, T/A's and Hemi suspension (S15) have an anti-roll bar that is 0.94 inch in diameter."
I think the ICCA book is in error on this one.

Thank you. The Dave Wise book says, "The front anti-sway bar for 1970-1974 E-Body Rallye suspension (S13) models is .88 inch in diameter. AAR, TA and Hemi suspension (S15) have a bar that is .94 inch in diameter."

Although I don't have the broadcast sheet for the car, it does have the large torsion bars, so my thought was it came with the S15 suspension.

Must've been typing at the same time.

I checked the parts book and the 2 part numbers given are
2835862 for B/J, R,  W Car line
2948723 340 Eng., 3-2 Carb for B/J Car lines

ALL 440HP - 440 Six Pack - HEMI E-bodies have the S15 suspension

ShakerBoy

Well guys. We have a confirmation of the S15 suspension for the 440 Sixpack, and literature showing the S15 suspension gets the .94 inch bar. Does anyone have literature or a source showing the S15 does NOT come with the .94 inch bar? And more importantly, does anyone have one they'd like to sell? I need one for my '70 N96 Challenger.

what or where is this "confirmation" of a .94" bar on anything but a T/A or AAR?   it didn't exist before the A53 cars

#2835862 = .88" diameter * "62" on a broadcast sheet
#2948723 = .94" diameter * "23" on a broadcast sheet

ShakerBoy

The confirmation I was referring to was that the 440 Sixpack comes with the S15 suspension as 6bblgt noted. My other reference was that both the Dave Wise book and apparently the ICCA judging book list the S15 as having the .94 bar. Maybe both books are wrong? I'm no expert by any means. I'm simply trying to determine the correct bar for the car and seeking the advice of those who know a lot more than I do. Thanks everyone for your input.
