Looking for a original radio noise suppressor that attaches next to coil. Looking for a original one with the part number 2884869 stamped in the end of the capacitor. In the best condition possible for a 50 year part. I have seen that there are some reproductions out there but would like to try and find a original one first.

I might have one, but not sure until I look. Do you have a photo of what it looks like so I know what I'm looking for?

Here are a couple pictures.

I'm bringing back this old thread cause I'm now looking for one of these suppressors.  If anyone has an original or NOS one laying around... :lookatthat: LMK

Thanks
Tom

I also have this question about location and which radio type.  The photo below is a 73 Challenger.  Is that the radio suppressor on the firewall?   If not, what is it?

This where the one on my 68 440 Charger was located. It is a all original unrestored car.

It's more depending how original you are trying to make the car. You need it if keeping the original point type distributor, it is to help with static in the radio
