Buy or Trade for Manual Steering Column Shaft

I'm looking to try and get a manual steering shaft in good condition. I can buy outright      or trade my power steering shaft in good condition, un-restored but straight and plastic pins are intact.

Yes, I was planning on getting that part to start with . . .   Now that I have my steering column apart I thought id see if there are any manual shafts out there. If I did that I would be able to simplify the installation.  I see one on ebay but they want $300.00 which seems pretty high to me at least.
