He's looking for a 1970 "Large Hole" caliper, not the later small hole ones. :alan2cents:

You are right Alan, I'm looking for the "wide mouth" casting. The ones on eBay are most likely the later small opening versions even though pictures show the kh800012 casting.

@FlatlandTA thanks for taking a look, let me know

Thats interesting that 2 different calipers can have the same casting #. Learn somethin new every day.   :unitedstates: :rebelflag"

Crazy thing is Jim V had a set for sale asking $500 just for the wide mouth calipers & they sold....

I'm still doing in depth research on this caliper. How can this part have the same casting # and the same date code and still be different  It's kinda like that master cylinder Alan is always looking for. It appears these calipers were AAR/TA specific, or maybe big block cars also. Does this show up on the build sheet @Cuda Cody ?  This info makes this forum the best.         :unitedstates:            :rebelflag"

Not on the sheet that I can recall.
Hmmmm, so it's not specified on the build sheet, but it's a different caliper.  :notsure: Makes no sense. @6bblgt can you weigh in on this. ??

I believe the:
casting # KH 80012 is '70 ONLY (BIG clearance)
&
casting # KH 86166 is '71-'72 (small clearance)

I don't think KH 80012 was available both sizes  :dunno: but they are interchangeable (just not numbers correct for '70)

Hmm: I have a set of those too. They're buried though and I won't be finding them until spring.
