The FSM says the cap needs to be "Pressure / Vacuum" type,
but after seeing conflicting statements in the internet (really) ,
I just want the one that works.
I have the gas tank with 4 nipples and I have the vapor separator tube.

I have an N95 code too and have also seen the 'pressure/vacuum' mentioned in the FSM. My theory is we need a non-venting (ie no pressure/vacuum) sealed cap for the whole system to work properly, any venting defeats the whole systems purpose.

I believe a '70 N95 car has a different filler neck to suit the correct cap. If you know more please let me know as want to find the correct cap too.

A '71 cap is non-vented and IIRC, the '70 N95 setup is what became standard on 1971 E-bodies.

As far as a difference in the filler tube where the cap screws in, it's possible, but I don't know.

And if you're more after function than OE Gold appearance, you can probably buy an aftermarket Stant cap, locking or plain, from one of the usual auto parts suppliers.  Napa, Autozone etc.

HMMMM
Very interesting, fellas.
Perhaps the unique gas cap is then the 1970 "Non-Emissions" cap.
