Looking for one for my 340/a/t. Rebuildable or already rebuilt fine.

1 Wild R/T

Are you looking for a particular part number? Date code? What year 340?

Just a non smog TQ for my 1972 340 a/t. Not looking for any date code, just one that would have gone on a 340.

One Wild is correct.  we need a little more info with regard to intent.  If its OE correct then you would be on the hunt for a 6139S (auto) or 6138S (Manual) with a date code that is around up to a month or so before your SBD.  If you are looking for a driver then virtually ANY carb will work once rebuilt.  They used them from 71 through to 1984 and despite other provisions added over time they can be used pretty interchangeably.

For price the holy grail starts at the 71 340 carbs and the price goes down in order as the years go up so 72 carbs are typically relatively pricey even for cores as they were used on all 340's and 360's through to 74 when production ended for cuda/challenger.  72-74 Numbers matching carbs are actually in demand so if your looking for a functional TQ and not as interested in #'s then there is nothing wrong with selecting one of the "newer" year carbs.

For example I have a 77 400 AT carb (9103 S) sitting on the shelf as a backup for parts my 73 340 MT carb (6318S).  If your interested id be willing to let it go and would suggest a rebuilt.  But again if stock is not a concern I would not feel bad about getting a reman TQ from any of the parts warehouses.

Here's a great article on TQ's
