Mr Cuda

Checked the build sheet,  no code for any  mirrors.
A22, dual chrome,  so blows the theory of A22 being always painted mirrors in 71

one could order chrome mirrors instead of the STANDARD painted mirrors or vice-versa  :looney:
& it looks like they dropped the mirrors from the package for 1971, and price adjusted properly  :drunk:  well that explains THAT!!  :D

There are many things that can effect the mirrors and other options on E Bodies. 1970 will do this a little different than 1971 and during both years options were added, dropped, changed. Things like Rubber Bumpers, Rear Window Louvers, Paint Color and other option became part of a package. Not like todays packages with the modular build. In 1971 TX9 door mirrors you could not get on a TX9 E Body. I believe this might of been done because of the G30/1 sales that were not very high. It could also be that there was not enough room in plant to stock all colors. There is one 1970 Hemi Cuda sold new in Quebec, Canada and is in Alberta, Canada unless resold has Rear Window Louvers and a Luggage Rack. I have read that these two options were not available together but this car was built. So Ordering options even generates options that you could not get built on a E Body.

Good info, I have the plain oval style mirror in a box on the shelf ready to install and was wondering if I had the wrong mirror for a 70. :thankyou:

Here is a fender tag example of a 1971 Cuda 440-6 showing G33 only on the tag. The sales order form shows it was ordered with Dual Painted Racing Mirrors. The broadcast sheet shows (G31 Right Chrome & G33 Left Chrome). G31 was left off the fender tag but the car for some reason.
Any insight on why the G31 left Chrome mirror was left off of the fender tag on this Cuda? It was ordered with dual painted racing mirrors.

UPDATE: 6bbgt suggests below that it may be a repro fender tag with the wrong mirror code.

G31 & G33 are chrome mirrors - like was mentioned above G36 dual painted mirrors were NOT available in TX9 for 1971

I'm not convinced that's an authentic factory fender tag   -  mistakes happen both at Chrysler assembly plants and with "reproduction" fender tag makers

I will correct the info in the earlier post. Owner wanted dual painted but got dual chrome. LOL.

MoparCarGuy

Quite a few TX9 1971 Cudas with the plain oval driver chrome mirror plus two more with G33 - Driver Racing Mirror - Chrome.
