New guy radiator and cowl stamp question

After reading the VIN number and body stamp resource article, I understand the stamp should have a B or E in the first position. I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered a stamping that has the E or B missing from that first position and a 0 as the first digit? Thanks in advance.

on my 70 Challenger the "B" on the cowl stamping is so faint you would not even know it is there, unless you knew to look for it. The "0" looks like it is the first thing before the Serial Number.

Yea, I was going to  making a perfect stamp on every strike on every car was not really their priority in the 70's....yes the letter SHOULD be there, but I wouldn't worry about it missing if everything else looks legit

Just to clarify, the B & E were to designate the assembly plant for E Bodies, while the 0 was for the model year, you would find a B1 on 1971 E Bodies, B2 for 1972 etc...

I've seen light stamps several times. 

What I don't recall is if the light stamps I saw were light on both the cowl and the radiator support.

Anyone know if the two stamps were stamped at the same time or the same machine?

Funny how that is reverse order from the Fender Tag, with the B first then the O

I've seen a car with a B0 but it was a 71 ?
