I have been going though all my parts to see what I have and found 2 sets of 5 new in the bags for a total of 10 chrome lug nut. They are part number 2823848 and date code is from 12-90. They have never been opened and don't really know what they are worth but someone may want NOS lug nuts for their show car.

Take a picture of the outboard (domed) end of the nuts... Best you can without opening the bag...

This was the best I could get through the bag.

interesting swirl, not sure what the story is there, Probably a variation of the usual evidence of the machining process from parting off... Generally the "correct" nuts have a machining nub left from being parted off.... Like shown below...

yes, the desirable NOS lugnuts have a "nipple" on the top.  at one point they were around $300 for a set of 20
but reproductions were made with the "nipple" & I believe are still available?  the reproductions were ~$100 for a set of 20 (LH & RH 1/2"-20)

so, NOS with the "nipple" still in the bag is great!  can we "ASSUME" 1/2"-20 RH?   WIW?  about $100 for the 10

Maybe look at the other bag and see if they have the same swirl top or ?

I bought NOS back in the day both right and left big bolt.
Not all had the top nipple.
I still have some.
As a matter of fact some batches NOS in the bag had no nipple.
I have had some with the swirl like the OP posted pictures of.
Like other items...again,  could be different supplier situation.
The ones Mike carried with the nipple were pretty much dead on but I think he only offered RH thread.
I still have NOS left and right small bolt one batch with nipple, one without.
I dont think correct small bolt were ever reproduced RH and LH.

PG Classics manufactures and sells both LH and RH 1/2" lug nuts with the nipple :alan2cents:
