I don't have any pics yet, but a buddy let me know of a 1970 NOS grill, argent original paint, the red trim, Plymouth emblem and the upper chrome trim.

He said he took a look at it and it is super clean, a few small paint blemishes and a 1" crack in one of the corners not visible from the front - said the guy is asking $2K which is insane to me - my buddy said to offer the guy under $1K and he would probably take it....

Anyone have an opinion on what a fair price would be?  I have a nice original grill, but it could definitely be better - will take some work to get it to a point where I would want it on the car, and can probably get a good price for it.

My thinking is the better the part is I am starting with, the better the result - I am not made of money, but have invested in a lot of NOS or restored parts to hopefully have a really good result
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

Not sure if the red bars are still reproduced but that sounds like a steal for $1k, good deal at $1.5k, Nice to have for $2k.

I just offered him $700 and he took it, going to go look at it next week and see if it is as good as he says - keep in mind it is not in perfect condition, but the texture is there and it is complete except the lower chrome trim

Make sure it's really NOS and not a repop.

has the Pentastar emblem and 2949558 part number - any repops produced with factory markings?

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal.

I think that the BEA repops may have been a Mopar licensed part with Pentastar stamps and part numbers.

Any way to distinguish a BEA reproduction?
